Annual Rummage Sale

Setup March 12th 6 PM, Annex building
Items for donation now being collected. Most people bring their items the night before. Volunteers needed for setup Friday night 5 PM to 8PM (and you may pre-purchase items then). This evening is relaxed and fun. Volunteers needed as cashiers on Saturday. Come help us bargain with the public! Clean up volunteers needed for Sunday. All proceeds benefit GUUF children and youth religious education. Unsold items are donated to Habitat for Humanity Home Store and Goodwill. Enjoy learning about Jewish heritage, customs, and foods. Carpool on the spot after service. The 4th-6th grade class is planning to attend the 1 PM lecture on the Torah. You may brown bag it or have lunch there. Part of the menu includes: pastrami or corn beef sandwich ($4), pastries ($1 to $2), hot dogs ($2), brisket and kugel meal ($6). United Nations Office Spring Seminar
April 7th (evening) – 11th (afternoon)
We going to NYC to the Unitarian Universalist – United Nations Office Spring Seminar on global climate change and we invite YOU (adults and high school youth) to join us!
Join us for this educational and working group seminar to learn what is going on the international policy level on this important issue and others that the UU-UNO is working on. Assist Bruce Knotts and his staff speak with a larger voice at the United Nations.
Part of the seminar is in the United Nations itself. The seminar usually has around 150 UUs from around the United States and Canada. Evenings are free to visit with seminar participants and/or tour NYC. Most of Saturday will be free to sightsee. Subsidized bus cost is $125. Register at www.uu-uno.org and then contact Kris to reserve a spot on the bus. Enjoy a comfortable ride with no airport hassles and the company of up to 48 other UUs on the ride. Need more info?
